I was late on the social media scene. I’ve had a Facebook account for forever, but I rarely browse the platform and have never maintained an active presence.
Twitter, or “X”, or whatever it’s called now has never been my jam.
As a , I understand the potency of Instagram, but I do not feel drawn to engage or promote, so I’m all but absent there.
Publishing on Medium was my opening, my debut into online presence, and I leaned in HARD.
I wrote consistently on the platform from 2021–2022, then gravitated to in 2023, and have been focused on growing my garden there ever since.
At first, I doubled down on the newsletter. Once I felt I had properly oiled that machine, I ventured into the land of podcasts.
So I created . In the beginning, my ego screamed out excuses-my voice sucked, it was obvious I was reading, I sounded nervous-I flailed in insecurity for a few weeks.
Not long after that, something shifted. I realized I was having a ton of fun recording the episodes and no longer carried fear about how they were received.
