This piece—this truth—is for those of us who’ve lived enough life to know what betrayal feels like. This is for the ones who’ve bled in silence, who’ve kept it together when their name was dragged through mud by people they once called brother, sister, friend, or teammate. It’s for the warriors. For the veterans—military or not—who’ve fought battles seen and unseen, physical and emotional, internal and relational.
