Writing doesn’t knock on the door.

It breaks in quietly, through grief, silence, or wonder.

And by the time you notice, or if you can’t stop thinking about writing, it’s already growing something inside you.

When writing chooses you

There’s a strange question people ask when you tell them you’re a writer. It usually falls somewhere between

“When are you going to get a real job?”

and

“How do you get paid for something AI can do?”

That question alone reveals just how misunderstood this path is. Most people don’t realize writing is not one thing. It’s more than books, blogs, or captions.

There are technical writers, screenwriters, brand storytellers, content creators, ghostwriters, and authors. And others. But here’s what I’ve come to believe.

You don’t always choose writing. Writing chooses you.

You might begin in one niche, shift to another, and later find yourself somewhere unexpected. The evolution is natural. You grow, so your voice grows with you.
