Writer’s Block Is Kicking My Ass
Fellow writers: what do you do when you’re stuck?
Writing feels scary
so I press pen to page —
thoughts swirl,
filling every open corner
of my crowded mind.
I don’t know what this fear means.
Words once flowed like Sunday coffee —
warm, effortless.
Now the waters are dammed.
I wonder if,
when they break again,
what truths might flood
from this pen
and this heart.
Soft notes: Instead of giving up, I wrote this poem. It is short and small and doesn’t convey much. However, I showed up and for that I am proud. I’m curious: What do you do when you feel the words are stuck, but you have the desire to write?
