There Is No Worse Fate than the Loss Of Hope

There is no worse fate than the loss of hope.

What do you say to someone who has lost all hope? Who are adamant about not wanting to continue living. Who don’t view death as a loss but as an opportunity to avail of all pain. Is it a moral choice to ask them to continue breathing? Knowing the clout that weighs them down, dragging each day.

With what vigour should we ask them to not give up? With what knowledge do we ensure them to envision a better tomorrow? How long must one continue to endure this agony of vitality?

How do you aid them with a promise of a better tomorrow, when all their past has sculptured contrary evidence. How do you rekindle the spark of life in someone?

Is it even possible?
