The Trap of Taking Breaks
Rest feels good. Until it becomes resistance.
There is this thing about breaks, and I am sure you must have felt it too.
When you take one, you want to take more.
The longer you take them, the harder it is to get back.
Before you know it, you’re in full-on slacking mode.
And suddenly, you’re not resting. You’re stuck.
Breaks are beautiful, essential, and refreshing. No doubt.
But the tricky part comes after that: Getting back.
It’s not that you don’t want to work.
It’s just easier not to.
You scroll mindlessly. Procrastinate.
You convince yourself you’ll start tomorrow.
But deep down, you know you’re just putting it off.
Not really trying.
The hardest part is breaking the cycle of inertia.
The restart.
The part where you take control again.
So, yes, take breaks mindfully.
But don’t lose yourself in them.
P.S. How do you bounce back from breaks?
