The Best Compliment I’ve Ever Gotten Included the Word “Fart”
Or how to become an idea machine
A former coworker turned friend once said to me:
You fart creativity.
She said I had so many ideas, I didn’t have to try.
Then, in my mid-30s, things changed.
Chronic illness, piles of bills, constant stress, oh my! Creating seemed like a distant memory. My ideas dried up. Or so I thought.
When I decided to create again, I felt stuck. Then, I remembered how ideas flow.
Ideas are everywhere.
But we have to feed our minds the “fiber” to fart ideas.
Observe everything around you and take note. Read, watch videos, listen to music. If you can, take a walk. Have conversations.
Take note of what elicits your emotions. That’s the good stuff.
Rest. Relax your mind. See what comes forth. Observe and create. The more you create, the more ideas will flow.
Be the ultimate observer of your world and others.
You’ll be farting creativity too.
