Start by choosing a familiar location — a home, school, or favorite cafe.
Begin at the back and create a specific path through the space.
You’ll place each item you want to remember at distinctive spots along this route.
Let’s say you need to remember mañana. In Spanish, this means tomorrow.
In your Memory Palace, imagine Johnny Cash (“The Man in Black”) pointing at “tomorrow” on a calendar.
Have him shout “Yeah, nah!” (Man + yeah + na… mañana.)
The more bizarre and vivid you make this kind of sound-based association, the better it’ll stick.
Practice walking through your Memory Palaces, focusing on each location and its associated item.
The key is consistency, making sure you use familiar associations.
With regular practice, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can mentally recall long lists of words and other things.
