All Clay, All Day
What you unearth isn’t always what you expect
I thought it would be easy to dig up a section of grass and lay down some paving stones.
What could go wrong?
As it turns out, clay is much harder to dig through than dirt — my body has borne the punishment.
I now walk like Monty Burns — stooped over in a slow shuffle.
Embarking on a new journey can be stressful and full of uncertainty. However, that doesn’t mean we should avoid changing course.
Tomorrow, I will be fine—walking normally and ready to continue digging. I hope to turn this clay pile into a beautiful walking path by next week.
As you evolve, don’t let a natural sediment stop you from actualizing your potential. Change tactics, but don’t jump ship.
Hard times create resilient people.
Dig into this.
