You are not always as clever as you think. Sometimes something great slips by you unnoticed. Maybe you were too young, or too old, or maybe it was not your thing at the time. Well, maybe you are the clever one, because now it is all brand new for you to enjoy!

How did I miss this one?

We did not get The Stranglers in America. The only song I remember hearing on the radio was “Golden Brown,” which I would have told you was by the Moody Blues if you had asked. There may have been an occasional mention of The Stranglers being part of the punk explosion of 1977, but since there was no easy way to confirm or deny this, I just filed it away with all of the other information that didn’t make sense. I did spend a lot of time digging through record racks, and if I came across this cat staring back at me, I would have looked twice, but it just was not there.

Why now?
