Blur is definitely back.

It’s been eight years since the band launched ‘The Magic Whip’, and suddenly, this year, we saw some surprising new content on Social Media that ended up in a tour announcement, a full album launch, and a stunning concert at Wembley Stadium.

Continuing their album promotion, last night, the band played an exclusive concert at London’s Eventim Apollo for a few attendants, and they also had it live-streamed for the rest of the world. They played the entirety of ‘The Ballad of Darren”. They also created many amazing surprises for every Blur fan eager to see the Colchester guys together in action again.

The Ballad of Darren is not an album to jump or dance. It’s actually one to listen to while sitting down and drinking the beverage of your preference. A nostalgic ambiance, thick guitars, a low-key voice tone from Damon Albarn, and melodies that stick to your head as usual. Blur, for me, didn’t disappoint with this one, although some people say it’s not their best work. In my opinion, that’s because they were expecting some hype songs like “Boys and Girls,” “Song 2,” or even “Country…
