My Theory About Using Up All Your Good Times
I was 13 when I first started developing my theory that we all have a limited amount of good times. It was my version of the Yin and the Yang. We had a good buddy growing up who took every single thing too far, every single time.
If we decided to try ecstasy for instance, he would then decide to keep trying it every day for the next 6 months.
Excess is the word that comes to mind.
On some level it might have looked like he was having a lot of fun. But we knew better – there really can be too much of a good thing.
Every day we would all scrounge together our money in hopes of a half quarter blunt for lunch. We would always make it though, because Kylan’s mom used to keep her purse under the sink for some reason and it always had hundreds to thousands of dollars in 20s.
After a couple successful skims, Kyl like usual, took it too far and from then on would steal no less than $80 a day for our daily teenage debauchery.
