Street photography from Seoul, South Korea in September 2016

Welcome all,

Today, I’m happy to share with you some photographs that I captured while exploring the Hongdae University area in Seoul, South Korea. When I first got started in photography, I was living abroad in South Korea. I lived there for a total of 11 years.

I didn’t officially get started in photography until around September 2014 with the purchase of my first DSLR camera. Soon after getting my first camera I was drawn to what I now know as street/documentary-style photography. I would explore and document life around me. Now this holds true with the images that I took in Hongdae.

I visited the Hongdae area several times, often in the evenings and documented much of what I discovered. Hongdae is a big university right in the middle of Seoul, and boasts a large crowd of young people, and with that lots of shops, restaurants, and night life. The following images may give you an idea.
