How My 5-Month-Old Daughter Inspired Me to Take More Risks

--

And live an action-oriented life

Having a daughter changed everything for me.

I became a dad for the first time in August of 2022.

Even before she was born I was already thinking of the kind of father I wanted to be.

And the example I wanted to set.

What’s your impression?

I know that we as parents leave huge impressions on our children.

For better or for worse.

As someone who had a father that left a mostly negative impression, I want to do the opposite for my child.

We all want this, right?

Nobody WANTS to be a bad example to their children.

But it can happen.

And so I gave myself a reality check while my wife was pregnant.

One of the biggest things I realized was that I live much of my life in fear.

Fear of trying new things, putting myself out there, and failing.

There have been many times over the years when I’ve held off pursuing a goal, desire, or dream due to apprehension.

And worry and anxiety.
