After more than 18 months of willful silence, distortion, and sanitisation, headlines are now acknowledging the siege, the starvation, and the slaughter. But the loss for words now — when millions have already lost homes, families, limbs, futures — is itself shameful. . What changed? Not the reality on the ground, but the political winds.
The Guardian is not alone: . These belated awakenings ring hollow when they come only after the world’s attention has been forced elsewhere.
