When I started exploring Indian History, I was never interested in the reigns of the great Kings and their kingdoms. It wasn’t the wars and diplomatic ties that attracted me, what makes the kings great was never my concern. The only aspect I wanted to explore was what made them special beyond being a figure of unhinged power and authority.
What made a few closer to their people than others? What made them love and care so deeply despite the luxuries and grandeur of their aura?
The humility and harmony of a leader and the essence of love reflected in his creation — are what truly inspired me to know more. To unravel the beauty behind monuments and history as we see them today.
The Journey
Despite spending all my life in the Northern plains of India, I have had little opportunity to explore beyond the whims and fancies of daily life. All my life I have spent hours cribbing notes and writing philosophies with little to no exposure to practical experiences.
