When you stop trying to “Live Your Best Life”
You’re sitting in traffic, thumb hovering over an Instagram reel of Iceland’s auroras. The caption says, “Don’t dream your life, live your dreams!” You sigh.
Naval Ravikant once said, “Desire’s a contract you make to be unhappy until you get what you want”.
We’ve all signed that contract—the dream job, the perfect partner, the trip that’ll “fix” everything.
But chasing desire is like drinking saltwater: The thirst grows with every sip.
Let’s do math even the math-haters will love:
- Moments enriched by money > Money devoid of moments (What would you reminisce about on your deathbed?)
- Attention = Life (Where your eyes go, your soul follows.)
- Suffering = Expectations - Reality (The smaller the gap, the lighter you breathe.)
Here’s the equation no one teaches:
Peace = What you have ÷ What you want (Reduce the denominator.)
