Who would have figured we’d end up in this mess?
Fifty years ago, the women’s liberation movement was at its peak. The hope then was that the increased number of women in the workplace would yield a more caring and cooperative society. It turns out, however, that at least in Washington, D. C., such is not the case if a survey of leading women in politics is any indication. Just consider the following examples:
Kellyanne Conway
Senior counsel to Donald Trump during his first term, Ms. Conway was noted for her creative use of language to support questionable positions which she once called “alternative facts.” Devoid of ethical standards, she seems willing to defend any politician having worked for Ted Cruz before signing on with Trump.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders
Ms. Sanders first came to fame as Trump’s second press secretary in his first term. A staunch defender of Trump, she continually berated the media for trafficking in fake news. She was rewarded for her loyalty by becoming the governor of Arkansas.
Karoline Leavitt
