Never go to dinner with a fascist
On his show this past week, Bill Maher recounted his experience attending dinner with the President at the White House.
In his recounting of the event, Maher confirmed everything I’ve been saying about him for at least the past decade or so: he’s not a liberal. And he’s also not especially smart.
“Trump was gracious and measured,” Maher said, making a point of saying that the man he met in person was very different from the image we have of him from TV.
This is how low the bar is.
Never mind that Trump continues to shout about the 2020 election being rigged as recently as or that he supports sending US citizens to what amount to or that he with his ridiculous tariffs: he managed to make it through an entire dinner with Maher and remained on his best behavior for the entire time, so he must be fine.
