The Price of Belonging: Europe’s Golden Passports and Hidden Borders

Malta’s passport scheme is stirring the hornet’s nest. This is a story about exclusion, inequality, and the right to citizenship.

As courts debate “elite” access to citizenship, Europe’s border-industrial complex profits from violence, displacement, and apartheid as the silence and inaction on Palestine and Gaza continues. We need system change, not cosmetic rulings. Malta’s golden passports were only the surface. The real issue is who gets to belong in a Europe built on walls, war, and wealth.
