Welcome back. In Chapter 6, Kylie thought she impressed Richter with her teaching skills during his first classroom observation.

Kylie threw a Snickers wrapper at Wanda’s head. Wanda dodged at the last minute, so it only hit her shoulder.

“You’re in a weird mood,” she said.

Kylie shrugged. Groundskeeping duty was never fun. She hated crouching onto the ground and scooping up old cups and boxes, and other pieces of junk that were coincidentally shaped like rat-houses. Nothing furry had jumped out at her yet, but it was only a matter of time.

“Sorry,” Kylie eventually said. “I’m just… yeah, I’m in a weird mood.”

She shoved the Snickers wrapper into her plastic sack.

“It has nothing to do with Richter’s ‘notes,’ does it?” Wanda asked.

“Yes, it does!” Kylie shouted before she could stop herself. “I mean, he saw a great lesson. I owned that lesson. That lesson was solid gold. And then here he comes, with a clipboard full of notes about my posture and enunciation. Enunciate this!”

She snapped a twig in two.
