I Wish Life Were a Sitcom

I wish life were a sitcom.
A happy,
feel-good,
wholesome sitcom!

Where each day is only challenged
by a minor inconvenience,
and nothing more.
Everyone’s beautiful
joyous and kind.
Or at least the ones that surround you.

Where each problem gets solved
by the time the clock hits twenty-four.
If not,
an encouraging musical can come to the rescue.

And you end the day with a happy closure.
A loved one tucks you in
or lies down beside you.
Where you cocoon the blanket
and fall asleep in a cuddle…
