The accidental eye contacts
The close encounters
Were they just destiny’s game
Or did they carry some names?
Everywhere I went, you were there
Of all the footsteps I heard
the one I raised my eyes at
Why were it always yours?
What was it?
I cannot name
Were we meant to be
Or was it a game of fate?
To test my patience
To test my resilience
That I won’t succumb
Because we never stopped by
Never spoke to each other
Maybe it was an innocent crush
Hidden from the world
But now I am over it, maybe?
Because some encounters, some stolen glances don’t promise a lifetime together
They were just there
And now I am here
Away from all these pandemonium's
Living my life, blissfully unaware of the meaning of those encounters
With a question still unanswered-
Were we ever meant to be?
