I don’t exactly know what the concrete ‘definition’ of success is. From what I have understood, looks like it’s about being financially stable, popular, and/or confident enough in whatever field you specialize in.

But does that always have to be the case?

I mean, are you still successful if you have a good career but a personal life that you dread?

Does it still count as success if nobody celebrates it with you?

Or when you do something that is materialistically fulfilling but doesn’t give you peace of mind?

Doing something out of pressure and not out of the innermost desires of your heart?

Would you be called successful if you were extremely good at what you did, but could never become a good person? Would you be able to be at peace with the fact that you have taken unfair advantages? You’d be popular, sure, but would it be worth it?

You may argue that one can never have it all.
Maybe you’re right.
But hey, who made the rules?

Who said you couldn’t have a good circle of friends and family while doing something you liked? So maybe it makes you a millionaire (and/or an internet sensation), but…
