Have your work co-workers ever had to carry you back to your hotel because you passed out drunk in a bar?

Have your colleagues wrestled you off the stage at a strip club to stop you from pawing the dancers like a tiger cub in heat?

Are you the top line star of whistleblower reports at not one, but two of the former employers from whom you were forced to resign?

If the answer is no to even one of these questions, congratulations! You’re resoundingly more qualified for America’s top national security job than its current occupant, one Peter Brian Hegseth. With that knowledge in your back pocket, surely you’ll never again feel hesitant to speak up in the managers meeting at your mid-sized modulation firm in Kalamazoo.

As the sitting Secretary of Defense, Hegseth may have irreparably compromised national security by sharing war plans across an unsecured Signal chat. He may have broadcast his vulnerability to bad actors the world over by inadvertently inviting a journalist into said chat. But Hegseth did succeed where the nation’ss top psychiatrists gave floundered.
