I’ve heard many professional comedians say that they get most of their material from real life experiences. While I wasn’t (and never will be) viewed as a comic, I must agree with them, since my profession as a salesman has provided me with some ‘unique’ (and what I consider) funny stories.
On one occasion, I accompanied a female co-worker on an appointment to a manufacturer in the Midwest. She had shared with me that this was a somewhat ‘unique’ manufacturing operation. However, that didn’t quite prepare me for the direction that this sales call was to take.
Having spent most of my career in the transportation field, I was exposed to a lot of different types of businesses, including industrial, manufacturing, and retail.
