What Went Wrong in Copying Israel
Pakistan and India will become proxies for the superpowers.
Israel, by its overwhelming military power, is the undisputed hegemon of its region. And this hegemon has developed an absolute intolerance for terrorism in recent times.
Since the horrific terrorist attack of October 7, it is most notable that the atmosphere around the world is almost the same as that in the US after 9/11. Terrorism is being strongly deplored, and the people of many countries consider it necessary to go to any extent to eradicate this scourge, no matter how great the damage doing so could cause to the world and especially to international law.
Driven by this very mindset, America launched invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, while Israel has now reduced all of Gaza to rubble.
This was a golden moment for India.
In such an environment, if India takes aggressive action against Pakistan under the guise of counterterrorism, a significant portion of the world may well rally behind it.
This would not only militarily weaken Pakistan but also send a clear regional message: India alone is the uncrowned king of South Asia, and neighboring nations must submit to its dominance, just as the Arab world is now forced to accommodate Israel. Any defiance would…
