The U.S. as “Mediator” and Nuclear Narrative
After three days of intense military conflict, India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire on May 10, 2025.

Before the nations could announce the ceasefire and release an official statement, it was President Donald Trump who jumped first to take the credit. In reality, it was Pakistan’s DG Military Operations (DGMO) which called India at 3:35 p.m. IST requesting a ceasefire.
India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed this, offering a firm rebuttal to Trump’s claim regarding a U.S. mediated ceasefire.The claim made by Marco Rubio regarding broader talks at a “neutral site” was also rebuked by the Indian government. Once again, this reveals the U.S. exaggeration to inflate diplomatic success and boastful claims.
