The relationship between money and power is not new in American politics.
But the relationship we see between Musk and Trump is different from anything we’ve seen before.
Musk has become one of Trump’s biggest supporters — both financially and politically.
During the 2024 elections, Musk was the largest donor. Some people call their relationship a “bromance.” Musk even tweeted, “I love Donald Trump as much as a straight man can love another man.”
This shows how close they are.
In Trump’s first 100 days back in office, Musk has played a big role. He has helped Trump push forward big changes, many of which are part of a plan called Project 2025.
Instead of passing laws through Congress, they’ve done most things through executive orders. Musk’s influence is seen in many areas of government.
One of the main projects Musk is leading is called “Doge,” short for Department of Government Efficiency.
And it’s also impacting the musk itself, Tesla’s global sales are down 133%…
