Trump promised America he would save the economy and create new jobs on “Day One”, proclaiming it would be the “Golden Era of America.” Yet, he has done the exact opposite as on “Day One”. He fired thousands of federal employees, gutted the entire structure of the US government, and imposed tariffs across the globe that tanked the markets.
The landscape of global trade entered uncharted territories. Escalation between China and the U.S. has accelerated overnight. Although Trump put a 90-day pause on tariffs, Chinese tariffs remain in effect. With such tariffs now at 145%, America’s port cities face an existential crisis.
