Many of you might be surprised to know this, but Iran’s capital has a digital countdown . This clock will stop when it reaches zero in 2040 — the year when, according to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s prediction, the Jewish state will cease to exist.
You can decide for yourself how much weight to give the Iranian Supreme Leader’s words. But the Israel-Palestine war since October 7, 2023, has made one thing clear: The clock counting down to Israel’s demise in 2040 might hit zero after the Iranian regime’s own time runs out.
Why do I say these words?
Well, if you look at events since October 2023, one thing is undeniable: The biggest loser so far has been Iran — and only Iran.
Iran is losing its strategic assets in this war, one by one. Today, it stands more isolated than ever before. Its proxy allies are weakening by the day, and even its sole superpower friend — Russia — has now bid farewell to the region.
