Consider the relationship between you and the apartment you live in. Even if you feel an emotional bond with it, you understand that this bond is purely metaphorical. You and your flat are fundamentally different entities. Now, what if I told you the same applies to you and the universe: you are not at all a part of it. No living being is.

Natural sciences discoveries are now rendering obsolete the old metaphysical whim suggesting that only human mind departs from the universe but not human body. They show that in reality living beings are separated entities conflicting which the universe as they evolve one way while the universe goes another one. This discovery addresses more than just the famous mind-body . It is first an overlooked yet revolutionary ecological fact.

Viewing our surroundings as two conflicting wholes and not a cosmic harmonious one is not a new idea. It has simply been overlooked.
