December is counting days and the mood is shifting from Christmas to New Year. From the outside, everyone seems busy enjoying life in the best way they know or prefer. If you look inside, however, you’ll find everyone is fighting the same battle: new year, new me.

There’s this push to reflect on how’s life been, what’s right and wrong, and most importantly how the next year can be better. The next thing we know, we’ve compiled promises to rebrand our life, to correct the wrongs, and to climb ever higher on the societal pyramid. We call it new year’s resolution.

We may even fail our resolution barely days into the new year, but, hey, intention and effort do count! And there’s always the next year to try again!

Or we may succeed and life does become better and brighter. And then we shall smile later and thank ourselves for having the courage to start.

Either way, making that new year’s resolution is a conscious way for us to reassure our tortured souls that we’re moving forward with a new hope.

Do you know what else can benefit from making new year’s resolution? Well, a lot of things actually, but how about climate…
