The anointing flows from the head down to the rest of the body
Genesis 28:18 NKJV
18 Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it.
Welcome to part 2 of this series on the anointing of God. In my last article, we discussed the mark of God being the anointing of Christ. This was all prophetically shown in advance when Jacob anointed the rock at Bethel in the Old Testament. The Old Testament hides within it New Testament truths. That rock was the very one he had placed his head upon. This headstone is prophetic of Christ.
Last time, we discussed Jesus as the stone that the builders rejected. Today, we are looking at element #2, the head.
Christ Jesus is the One and Only Head of the Church. There is no other head.
Colossians 1:18
And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
