The Roaming Roosters at Key West
Such beautiful birds these roosters are, and they know it!
I just returned from an amazing cruise to the sunny Bahamas and Key West.
I’d never been to Key West, the Southernmost tip of the continental U.S. in Florida until then.
What a beautiful island it is!
It is a quaint little town with colorful shops and over century-old, well-preserved heritage buildings.
The specialty of this island- the roosters that freely roam everywhere, with teeny chicks trailing them.
I couldn’t help but admire the exquisite, colorful feathers they don.
They cockily strut around, unafraid of a human with a cell phone stalking them for pictures, trying to catch the loud crow.
They weave in and out of the souvenir shops, blending with the landscape naturally to make for an unforgettable encounter!
