Six of us and the dog packed into the car. After all that Christmas food, we needed to do something. The beach was calling.

I pulled up to the traffic lights as they changed to a red. The kids sing along to the music. The wife is talking to me about something I can't remember.

I'm the first at the lights minding my own business watching and waiting for them to change. My busy little brain refuses to rest.

Out of nowhere a taxi overtakes me and goes through the red light.

Did I watch them go in amazement?

Did I stay and wait for a green?

I went into autopilot and joined the illegal maneuver.

I think it was rage that caused me to put my foot down and drive. I just went.

My wife was in shock. Asking me why.

I still don't know.
