The Right Mindset: a Writer’s Best Ally
How to retain your customers when you’ve little time on your hands
All projects you work on are meant to be delivered like yesterday, right?
Deadlines looming… what do you do?
A. Spread yourself thin
B. Trust it’ll all work out
C. Abandon all hope of working with that client again
Once you try B, you’ll certainly find that it will indeed work itself out.
It may be to do with the stars in the sky, and it may be to do with your attitude once you trust yourself for getting the work done properly (if not timely).
I like to think it’s a bit of both.
- With the right attitude, communication flows — and extensions get granted.
- With the right attitude, a sense of professionalism and trust is conveyed — and you get repeat clients.
Work on your mindset
This way, the actual work will always take care of itself.
- Because then, you’ll be able to work twice as fast (motivation, here we come!).
- Because then, you’ll know when to occasionally shorten your night’s sleep, and when to sleep on it.
- Because then, you’ll be confident. And, I said it and read it before — confidence shows.
