Cucumber-Onion Raita

It’s a perfect dip and salad; this raita dish is a healthy go-to side dish for biryani, Ghee Rice, dhal fritters, Chips, or even roti and chapati.

If this dish has a resemblance to Tzatziki, that’s a pure coincidence 😊. However, you may find some common ingredients.

I realized that it's merely impossible to have biryani without raita. There are lots of variates that can be made using different ingredients.

I used to make simple raita by mixing diced cucumber, tomato, and onion. Then I think I got tired of it and created another version for a change.

Raitas can be made using raw or cooked vegetables. I am using raw vegetables in this recipe, and it's a perfect refreshment recipe for the summer season.

This raita is not too sour but well balanced with the milk and with a double cream consistency.

Ingredients to make cucumber onion raita

1 English cucumber

1 red onion

1 cup greek yogurt
