Stuck Walking… Again
Dreams that are recurrent almost every night
It’s hard to believe it was happening again!
Every night, she had the same experience in her dreams. She was headed home, the same path, and as most journeys have uphills and downhills. Calling the path, a rugged terrain, was a bit of a stretch, but it sure felt that way.
Sometimes, she was only two miles from home, and sometimes, she was much further away. However, no matter the distance, the walk was always the same.
Should she even consider this experience in her dreams, to be called a walk?
She struggled to put one foot in front of the other. It felt as if she was dredging through three or four feet of heavy snow with heavy boots, definitely not the Mary Jane-style shoes she was actually wearing in the dream. Sometimes she was barefoot, had high heels or a broken shoe and if she was lucky sneakers. Although they were comfortable, they did not help her pace at all.
