My Fair Lady was my mother’s favorite movie. She was lucky enough to see it on broadway, with Rex Harrison starring.
Who can forget “The Rain in Spain” sequence? The movie has some great songs. This makes me want to rewatch it.
These two questions that Deanna poses resonate with me greatly.
The following phrases irk me:
I could care less — It is I couldn’t care less. If you could care less, you could care less.
It is what it is — I don’t like this phrase either and it has always bothered me. Who wants to resign to a situation that can’t be altered?
Everything happens for a reason — I dislike this phrase very much. Why did my father die at 62? My mother was devastated and our family dynamic changed. It caused my father to lose many years of life and for our family to suffer. What is the reason for that?
Why was I disabled at 28? I am now 63 and I feel I was robbed of my life. I suffered from years of chronic pain, depression…
