July 3: Holly Emery — Are you married? Tell us all about how your spouse proposed. Where was it? Were you surprised?

Are you married?

First off, I will start with the information that I am a divorced single mother of twins, having completed separation in late 2018. I did not want to get divorced, I believed marriage was going to be a challenge especially while raising children under 5. My spouse did not have that same value or understanding about unconditional unending love as I did. He felt that any faults or character imperfections were a detriment to the marriage and could never be corrected and he also controlled our finances. He truly believed that I was out for his money and wanted to hurt him.

Not even a spec of the above is true. In my eyes, marriage was forever and I never wanted it to end. I really did love him until it became impossible to do any longer. I liked being a part of a team and in a marriage. Due to unforeseen circumstances, this marriage ended. I have written, however, oddly enough about the proposal to this marriage in another challenge by
