The UK has won.
It has won the war on making the internet safe for kids. Some people are happy. Others aren’t. It seems like every time a new privacy law is set to be discussed, politicians always put children at the forefront.
After all won’t someone think of the kids?
The bill plans on making the UK the safest place in the world to be online. It is a law now.
The bill aims to make new introductions on how tech firms should run their platforms.
It also makes platforms determined to take down illegal content such as:
- Illegal immigration and people smuggling
- Controlling or coercive behavior
- Promoting or facilitating suicide
- Selling illegal drugs or weapons
- Child sexual abuse material
- Extreme sexual violence
- Promoting self-harm
- Animal cruelty
- Terrorism
