How easy it is to please You, my Lord!
All it takes is one loving thought
A single heartfelt remembrance can suffice
One song of gratitude for this beautiful life.
O Master, what can I offer You?
What do I have that I can call mine?
This life proceeds from Your Love and Grace
The body, the breath..it’s all Thine.
They seek You not! Else they would have known
Better than to submit heaps of gold at Your Throne
Do they not know — God cannot be bribed?
You look straight into what they cleverly try to hide.
No riches, no words, no falsehood can please You
You search a man’s heart for purity and Truth
You keep no secrets but only those who seek shall find
That the Key to Your Kingdom is humble devotion.
