A Small Town Retracts Their Claim Of Being The Only City In The World With A Love Lock Bridge
Upon further investigation, we have discovered at least 80 others in cities throughout the world, including one in Serbia dating back a hundred years.
Dear Citizens of Oakridge,
We are writing to address statements made by our mayor last night regarding the new Love Lock Bridge. Below you will find the mayor’s statements followed by our corrections and comments:
“After five years of tedious planning, non-stop fundraising, and a slow construction period, Oakridge is proud to finally unveil the world’s FIRST and ONLY Love Lock Bridge! No city in the world is doing it like us.”
Upon further investigation, we have discovered at least eighty others in cities throughout the world, including one in Serbia dating back a hundred years. This regrettable news has shocked everybody on the Oakridge City Council. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or concern this may have caused.
