of the many excuses for being late —
being a decidedly disorganized four-star artist
consistently inconsistent
tops the list, Dad

always hoping the personal assistant shows up —
before the new moon, preferably
(did you know an orb weaver packs up shop, un-threads its masterpiece, and moves on during an eclipse?)

there’s me unraveling —
balking at the administration again
the heady affairs of Order
the go-through-all-things promise

this phase of the cleanse —
when I begin to feel Fury
I invite the security of boundaries
I make friends with Priority

the clocks tick Patience
the calendars turn Chaos into
commitment for a distracted mind
