“Yes, yes. Of course you are right. Perhaps Asha would grace us with her story,” added Karl with the typical politeness which I had come to expect of him.
“I’m a poetess,” Asha said simply.
“Marvelous!” said Gabe exuberantly. “Perhaps we can hear one of your poems later, yes?”
“Of course, dear Gabe,” smile Asha. “Later.”
“And you, Sid?” quizzed Fred.
“I guess I am somewhat like Mark. My career, if it could be said I have one, is simply to travel and share what I know about the human spirit. What I do is like our good doctor Karl, and therapist René. What I share are stories about human nature, the human psyche. I guess you could say, in a way, I am also a teacher or guide.”
“Hmm?” That sounds kind of open-ended and mysterious to me,” mused Fred. “So, how do you earn money? After all, it takes money to travel and teach.”
“I depend upon the goodwill of others for my material needs,” smiled Sid. “It seems when I find myself in real need, the human heart opens up and fills my need.”
