It Can Happen to Anybody

When darkness takes over, it creeps

I can’t explain it, the evolution of life. Why does it seem you can be on top of the world one minute and then flooded with nothing but chaos the next.

They say when it rains it pours, but when it stops suddenly there is rainbows. I’ve come to realize that when darkness takes over, it creeps. It creeps slowly, terrorizing your every move with vengeance. Like a terrorist has your soul locked in a cave, and he’s not letting it out anytime soon. A sad soul sitting behind bars, watching rainbows from inside wondering how everybody else can be so happy. How is everybody else smiling ear to ear, can’t they hear me? Can’t they see me?

Except they can, they just can’t see the cave, the steel bars, or the terrorist taunting your every move. No, no they see your smile, you cry out for help and all they hear is a friendly hello.
