If you carry empathetic weight, it might be time to remind yourself that you need to care for yourself
There is so much suffering around the world, and it seems neverending. When one horrific event ends, another quickly begins. Sometimes the suffering overlaps another event of suffering and your soul just doesn’t know where it begins and ends. What’s the silver lining? Hope.
It’s hard to sit with that much suffering, which is why it’s key for you (especially if you’re an empath) to shield your soul from too much news. Here’s the good part of sitting with suffering. I know, I know. Is there really a goodness to suffering?
No, and yes. The no is because suffering is hard. The yes is for how suffering can change or create good through learning how to overcome and reaching for your tissue of hope. There is a silver lining.
