AFFIRMATIONS GUIDE — PART 7 of 8
Success Affirmations
I will succeed in life
In Part 6 of my affirmations series, I discussed how to use relationship affirmations to improve your relationships. I will discuss affirmations for improving your success and work life in this part.
I have some bad habits when it comes to my job, and a big one for me is working too quickly and allowing myself to get overly stressed. My job doesn’t have to be as stressful as I make it, but I have a bad habit of wanting to get my work done as quickly as possible so I can have free time later.
But this often backfires and causes unnecessary stress. If I instead worked slowly and enjoyed the process, I would feel a lot better by the end of the day.
But how can I remind myself to slow down? That’s where affirmations come in. I use my success affirmations to remind myself to work more slowly. It’s not only better for me, but it’s probably better for my company because I’ll be less stressed and therefore more productive.
I tend to get stressed when I have too much work, but I also get stressed when there’s not enough work because it can make me feel expendable. It’s like I can never win! I use affirmations to remind myself not to worry when I don’t have enough work.
I receive praise at work sometimes, and that can be stressful because I tend to suffer from imposter syndrome and don’t think I’m worthy of that praise. Once again, my affirmations come in handy by reminding me that I’m great at my job.
Below, I’ve listed my success affirmations. As you read them, remember to really try to feel the meaning behind each word.
- I am grateful for my job
- I am great at my job
- I will work more slowly and calmly
- I will stop stressing when I don’t have enough to work on. Relax and enjoy it
- Make a mental health effort on work days
- I will get a raise by the end of this year
- I will succeed in life
- I’m manifesting that my Medium articles will be successful and help a lot of people. I am grateful for the possibility of that
- I will make the world a better place
I remind myself to “make a mental health effort on work days” because it’s easy to get so lost in your work that you don’t take time for your mental health, and by the end of the day, you feel tense and stressed. Taking just ten minutes at the start of your work day to do something like journaling, reciting affirmations, meditating, etc., goes a long way towards putting you in the right headspace so you can have a productive day.
I hope these affirmations help you in achieving your goals in life.
A tip for practicing affirmations: Instead of using affirmations to feel better when you’re not feeling great, I suggest you use them when you are feeling at least alright. When you’re not feeling well, it’s hard to truly embody each affirmation.
I like to think of it more as a preventative activity than something that will save you when you’re feeling down. That said, if you can utilize it to cure your blues, then it can be even more powerful, but that is more challenging and is best not to do when you’re first starting out. Find what works for you because everyone is different.
