Imagine you had the power to create a universe like an artist. With some colors and brushes, he could create a masterpiece. Let's stick with that metaphor for a while. Imagine you had the power to create everything, so you create a masterpiece of a picture, but you are all alone, and nobody is with you to share what you have just created.
The next step is to create someone to share your picture with. For you, this would be easily done because you can create everything. You meet your new friend at the masterpiece you created, and he adores your beautiful picture.
How can you be sure that he means it? You just created him this way; how can you be sure he liked what he saw? To be certain, you give him free will. If he dislikes what you've created, you'll know, and if he returns to praise its beauty, you'll understand it even more deeply.
In simple terms, this is why we have free will
To be honest, I turned away from the picture because I didn't like what was created for quite a while. I even got mad and was angry thinking about it. Sometimes, it would get so bad I would be afraid. Now, let’s move away from the metaphor because, in real life, I am referring to the Universe and everything contained within it…
